A bit about our judging process...

The GCVA is committed to a rigorous, fair judging process for the Hall of Fame Awards. As submissions open to the wider industry, transparency around this process matters more than ever. Here's how it works.

The Judging Panels

Judges are drawn from GCVA Members at every level of the community. Categories 1–8 are each assigned a panel of 3–4 judges, chaired by a GCVA Executive Board Member.

To ensure impartiality, judges cannot sit on a panel for a category their own company has entered, and no two judges from the same company can sit on the same panel.

Scoring and Shortlisting

Each judge scores entries individually and confidentially, against five criteria:Ambition, Outcome, Communication, Involvement, and Value.

Individual scores are combined into an average scoresheet, which forms the basis of an online panel discussion. Here, judges explain their reasoning and make the case for their preferred entries. Winners and shortlists are then agreed jointly and unanimously by the full panel.

Rising Star & Honoured Industry Contributor

These two categories follow a different route. Nominations are reviewed internally by the GCVA Team and Executive Board to confirm they meet the criteria, and a shortlist is drawn up.

The shortlist, along with supporting evidence, is then put to a vote of the full GCVA Membership via survey. Winners are the entries with the highest average score.
